Totland Alzheimer Café

Totland Alzheimer Café is held at St Saviours Holy Family Centre, Weston Lane, Totland PO39 0HE, from 2pm – 4pm, on the third Wednesday of each month (not January).

Paulette Thompson and Maureen Crowder, Co-ordinators at the Totland Alzheimer Café are supported by a knowledgeable and friendly team of volunteers (Beryl, Doug, Brenda, Mike, Di, Barbara, Sandy, Liz, Carly, Jane and Anita).

Each month an informative presentation relating to dementia is given, there is time to discuss dementia related issues in a relaxed atmosphere, with light refreshments being served.

There is no charge to attend an Alzheimer Cafe, however, donations are welcomed – look out for the orange collection boxes.

For further information please leave a message on 01983 220200 or contact us by email:  info@alzheimercafeiow.org.uk

It was not until I attended the Alzheimer Café’s that I realised that the only way forward, for the sake of everyone, was to be proactive in my approach to dementia. The lifeline extended by the Café sessions… must never be underestimated.
