Carers IWWe work with carers who either live on the Isle of Wight or care for someone living on the Isle of Wight. As a charity, we have supported carers for over 30 years. We are here to work with carers to ensure they receive the right support and information at the right time, enabling carers to carry on looking after their relatives, friends and neighbours.

The Wide SpectrumThe Wide Spectrum promotes good dementia care through providing information, newsletters and supportive educational and teaching materials. It is an arena for innovations and ongoing developments in the new field of care-giving in dementia (or dementia care) and highlights the less visible aspects of caring and the constant balancing and support required to link the ‘external requirements’ and ‘inner aspects’ of caring well.

The Living Well and Early Help Partnership"At the community level, the service will strengthen partnerships between local organisations involved in community wellbeing, including parish and town councils, local community organisations and Islandwide organisations (statutory and voluntary) that operate at local levels.
We promote and encourage connections, developments and contributions by individuals and the community. By spending time identifying the strengths, passions and capabilities of individuals, services and places we support communities to help themselves and create local solutions." Dementia AdventureDementia Adventure is an award-winning charity with a vision for a more active and fulfilling life for everyone living with dementia. Research shows that connection to nature and outdoor activity has significant health and well-being benefits for people with dementia, and they’ve proven that with the right support, it is possible to access those benefits in enjoyable ways. They provide supported holidays, free dementia training for family and friends, and
training for professionals and organisations. They aim to deliver their holidays to as many people who need them as possible. The Dementia Adventure Support Fund was set up to ensure this includes those who wouldn’t be able to fund a break on their own. The Fund can be used to contribute towards the cost of a holiday itself or towards something that is creating a barrier to someone taking a holiday, like transport or appropriate clothing.
